A Tradition of Service Since 1833
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded in 1869 in Paris, France, by Blessed Frédéric Ozanam and a group of young Catholic students who sought to put their faith into action by serving those in need.
What began as a small charitable effort has grown into a worldwide organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing hardship through compassion, charity, and person-to-person encounters.
