On Sunday, June 14, members of the Lowell District of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Boston gathered at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsborough for their Quarterly Breakfast Meeting. Nearly 50 Vincentians from across the district attended the event, enjoying a delicious breakfast, meaningful fellowship, and an opportunity to learn more about resources available to support neighbors in need.
The meeting featured guest speakers from Catholic Charities, who shared information about their food pantry services and the many programs they provide to assist individuals and families throughout the region. Attendees gained valuable insight into how Catholic Charities works alongside local organizations to address food insecurity and provide compassionate support to vulnerable members of our communities.
While the informative presentation was greatly appreciated, many attendees agreed that one of the most valuable aspects of the quarterly gathering is the opportunity to connect with fellow Vincentians. Sharing experiences, discussing challenges, celebrating successes, and learning from one another helps strengthen the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Boston and reinforces the spirit of service that unites volunteers throughout the district.
These quarterly meetings serve as an important reminder that no Conference serves alone. By coming together, Vincentians build relationships, exchange ideas, and find encouragement in the shared work of helping neighbors facing hardship.
